Through distribution of state funds, OARC assists all local jurisdictions in meeting the National Incident Management System (NIMS) requirements to ensure they are eligible for vital U.S. Department of Homeland Security assistance. We work with each local government to complete required documentation regarding first responders’ abilities; conduct a resource survey of each community’s emergency response equipment, gather appropriate contact information and coordinate training.
