The Oklahoma Association of Regional Councils (OARC) unites 11 Councils of Governments that serve all 77 counties, 629 cities and towns, and 3.5 million residents across the state. Together, these councils help local leaders plan for growth, secure funding, strengthen public safety, and deliver vital community services that improve the quality of life for Oklahomans.

ACOG serves the citizens of Canadian, Cleveland, Logan and Oklahoma counties.

Association of South Central Oklahoma Governments

ASCOG serves the citizens of Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Grady, Jefferson, McClain, Stephens and Tillman counties.

Central Oklahoma Economic Development District

COEDD serves the citizens of Pawnee, Payne, Lincoln, Seminole, Okfuskee, Pottawatomie and Hughes counties.

REGIONAL PROGRAMS

AGING SERVICES

The Oklahoma Association of Area Agencies on Aging (O4A) is a nonprofit network that supports older Oklahomans through services and advocacy. OARC provides administrative and advocacy support to O4A.

REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Helping communities fund and implement significant capital improvement and infrastructure projects that will expand the social and economic development potential of Oklahoma communities.

RURAL ECONOMIC ACTION PLAN (REAP) GRANT PROGRAM

The Rural Economic Action Plan (REAP) Grant Program, helps Oklahoma communities with fewer than 7,000 residents fund projects that improve infrastructure, safety, economic growth, and quality of life. The Councils of Governments (COGs) are the state-appointed agencies responsible for distributing these funds within their regions.

RURAL FIRE PROGRAM

Fighting fires is costly, and Oklahoma’s regional councils help strengthen rural fire departments with trained volunteers and dependable equipment. Through state funding, Councils of Governments support rural fire coordinators who assist more than 900 mostly volunteer fire departments across Oklahoma.
